Bani Walid University is a public university that was established by virtue of the Prime Minister’s decision No. (193) for the year 2015 AD and includes nine faculties, which are Sharia Sciences, Arts, Education, Law, Agriculture, Science, Economics, Political Science, Medical Technology and Engineering.
Although Bani Walid University was a fledgling university in its capacity as a scientific institution, it is old in its capacity as a group of colleges that practiced university education at a time when its affiliation moved from one side to the other as a reflection of the rapid and multiple changes the country went through. The College of Arts (and it was called Education) is one of the oldest colleges in Bani Walid. It was founded in 1992 AD, and then other colleges followed it at different times.
And now… the university is attended by more than eight thousand male and female students, taught by more than 600 professors and whose affairs are managed by hundreds of employees. Many have graduated from it, and it has students delegated abroad, and many repeaters are preparing to continue their higher studies at home and abroad.
