Mitiga International Airport is an international airport and a military air base. The airport is located in the capital, Tripoli. It operates domestic and international flights, air ambulance flights, and other flights for private aviation. It is the operations center for Libyan Airlines, Afriqiyah Airways, Al-Buraq Airlines, Libyan Wings, and others. After the closure of Tripoli International Airport in 2014, Mitiga International Airport became the only airport serving the city of Tripoli.
