Wadi Al-Shati University was established by Cabinet Resolution No. (51) for the year 2022 AD, as this university was established based on the faculties of engineering sciences, technology, law and education in Barak, previously affiliated to Sebha University, by decision of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. (51) for the year 2022 AD. Then the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research issued Resolution No. (210) for the year 2022 AD regarding the restructuring of some colleges affiliated with the university and the creation of new colleges, which shows the organizational structure of the university. Despite its recent age, Wadi Al-Shati University includes departments and academic programs that are more than 45 years old. Over the past decades, these departments have provided the local and regional community with many experiences and graduates. In the same way, Wadi Al-Shati University has sought, since its establishment, to contribute effectively to the service of the local community by providing it with graduates who possess skills and knowledge that meet its needs, as well as conducting research and scientific studies that address the problems of the local community, and also by holding training courses, workshops and seminars in line with the university’s mission in Community service.
